Radio Maliens Amerique: From Mali to New York
When Boubacar Ba moved from Mali to New York City, he knew he wanted to stay connected to local politics, sports and culture, so he founded Radio Maliens Amerique. In 2012, Mr. Ba began using Zeno Media’s Call-to-listen and broadcast tools so his listeners could affordably tune in from their phone without using up data. From just a couple hundred listeners a day, the station now reaches thousands of loyal fans who dial in and stay engaged for an average of seven hours per session. Today Radio Maliens Amerique is the largest Malian radio station based in the United States, and has become a central part of the Malian community.
“Zeno Media simplifies the live online broadcast experience for my radio station and makes it easier for my listeners to stay connected with their homeland.”
